Becoming an ELC Minister

Do you want to serve in the world as a minister of faith, independently and in ways unique to your capacities and calling?  Do you have the qualities of character to serve others with confidence and integrity? If so, we invite you to contact us about possible ordination.

Reverend Paula Hunter is the Eternal Life Church’s contact person and mentor for those aspiring to the ministry. You may reach her at the address below.

A request to become an ordained Minister in the ELC shall be accompanied by a short synopsis of experience, interests, objectives, and intention. Acceptance will be determined by compatible philosophy, objectives, intention, and commitment to serving God and humanity.

Minister applicants must initiate a project related to their ministry and submit a written report on it to their mentor.

Ordination shall signify commitment on the part of the new minister to uphold the Constitution and Bylaws of the ELC while serving God and humanity to their fullest potential and capability.

All Ministers will receive a Certificate of Ordination, showing date of Ordination and signed by the President of the Eternal life Church. All Ministers in good standing shall have voting rights and be eligible to hold office. Upon ordination, a $100 ordination fee is requested.

Each Minister is responsible for any donations and/or fees charged or received by that Minister. No salaries will be paid by the ELC and the ELC expects no percentage of a Minister’s earned income. A contribution of $50 per year to help defray the costs of the annual incorporation fee, mailings to ministers, and the annual meeting, is encouraged.

To maintain an active status and to continue to be a Minister and perform all duties and receive all benefits and privileges of the ministry of the Eternal Live Church, an annual written report to the ELC Executive Board is required from each minister by June 30 of each calendar year. Failure to submit this report will constitute resignation as a minister of the ELC.
